Who runs attendance in Hyderabad
A packaging or pharma ancillary unit in Jeedimetla or Balanagar carries twenty-five to eighty people on the floor plus line supervisors, on a monthly wage with overtime and an attendance-linked incentive the owner sets himself. A facility services contractor on a Gachibowli or Madhapur campus runs forty to a hundred and fifty housekeeping, security and pantry staff on monthly salary with a shift allowance.
The trading and teaching side pays differently. A wholesale firm in Begum Bazaar keeps its counter staff on salary and its loaders on a daily wage. A coaching institute in Ameerpet salaries counsellors and front desk, and pays visiting faculty per batch taught. Manufacturing units, security agencies and coaching centres share the same month-end question.
What makes it hard here
One guard, three client campuses in a week
A facility contractor moves one guard across two or three client campuses in a week, and VTClock assigns one office per person. Make the campus he works most days his assigned office. On days at another campus his phone finds no geofence, so an admin marks him present from the attendance list.
Long leave and quiet attrition look identical on paper
Floor workers in the northern industrial estates go home to Bihar, Jharkhand or Odisha for weeks. A blank column in a register covers long leave and a quiet exit alike. Approved leave sits on the record as leave, and an unexplained run of absent days shows on the admin desk.
Traffic on the ORR pushes shift handovers late
Jams on the Outer Ring Road interchanges and the Kukatpally to HITEC City stretch hold the relieving shift up by twenty minutes. Supervisors backdate punches, and overtime turns into an argument every payroll cycle. Each check-in carries its own time and a location pin, and an admin correction stays visible.
One long counter day, staggered breaks, two punches
A shop near Charminar and Laad Bazaar trades from late morning to about nine at night, staff taking breaks in turns. One check-in and one check-out read as a single unbroken stretch. VTClock does not split a day into break blocks, so set the shift to the trading day.
Geofencing around Hyderabad
Radius is a per-site call. A multi-block campus in the Financial District needs a wide circle to cover gates, towers and the pantry block. A shop in Begum Bazaar stands wall to wall with fifty others, so a tight circle is the only honest one. An Ameerpet institute shares its building with a dozen more, where a loose radius would accept a punch from the tea stall downstairs.
Shifts, grace and late marks
Each roster here needs its own clock. A campus facility team rotates through three shifts around the day, so give each its own start time, grace window and late mark. A Balanagar unit on 9:00 to 17:30 adds a second shift when orders peak, and that peak shift is set up separately. Night support staff move on cab pickup windows, so mark that roster as an overnight shift.
How a rollout usually goes
An engineering unit of about sixty hands in Balanagar decides to run a second shift for a seasonal order. Day one goes on setup: the plot as one office, a radius reaching the shed and the gate, the workweek, the holiday list, and the first admin. Both shifts are then created separately and every worker is assigned to one of them with a login code. Line supervisors watch the first fortnight and correct the punches the gate rush swallows. By the following month the register is a backup.
A worked example
Say a packaging line worker at a Jeedimetla unit is on INR 15,800 a month against 26 payable days. That is INR 15,800 / 26 = INR 607.69 a day, rounded to two decimals. He is present on 25 days; the one absent day is marked loss of pay, so INR 15,800 - INR 607.69 = INR 15,192.31. His employer pays an attendance incentive of INR 800 above its own threshold, which 25 days clears, so the slip reads INR 15,992.31. The record holds the days. The incentive rule stays the employer's.
Seasons and local holidays
Bonalu, a Telangana general holiday, runs across Greater Hyderabad temples through July and August and empties bazaars and shop floors. Saddula Bathukamma takes women in retail, housekeeping and factory roles out for most of a week before Dussehra. Ganesh immersion closes roads around Tank Bund, and evening rosters collapse with them.

Our guards rotate between two client campuses in Gachibowli and Madhapur. How do we mark them?
VTClock gives one person one assigned office, so a guard cannot punch in wherever he is posted. Set the campus he works most days as his assigned office. On days at the other campus he gets no check-in, and an admin marks him present for that date. That correction feeds the salary.
We pay an attendance incentive on the packaging line. Will the app work it out?
No. VTClock does not hold incentive rules and does not apply your threshold. It records the days: present, absent, late marks, waived marks, approved leave and loss of pay. You read the day count off that record and apply your own rule. VTClock does not compute or file EPF, ESI or professional tax.
Visiting faculty at our Ameerpet institute are paid per batch. Does that fit?
Partly. VTClock does not compute per-batch fees. It records whether the person checked in near the institute and on which days, which tells you who actually took the batches. Your own batch count settles the amount. Salaried counsellors and front desk staff run on monthly salary as usual.

The day sits on the record with a check-in and no check-out, and shows that way on the admin desk. An admin corrects the check-out time from the attendance list on the day it happened. Nothing gets reconstructed at month end, because the monthly salary is built from the corrected record itself.
